What you will need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. CPA designation is highly preferred.
  • 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a blend of Big 4 public accounting and in-house biotech industry exposure or only Big 4 public accounting experience.
  • Deep expertise in financial statement preparation and reporting, with a strong understanding of GAAP and SEC requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to collaborate across departments and present to senior leadership.

 
What you’ll do:

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports, providing critical insights to senior leadership and ensuring alignment with SEC reporting standards and technical accounting requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to accounting leaders, offering guidance on complex technical accounting issues and ensuring consistent application of evolving standards.
  • Own and manage high-impact accounting areas including ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), ASC 842 (Leases), ASC 718 (Stock-Based Compensation), and other complex transactions.
  • Partner with external auditors to streamline audit processes and strengthen internal controls, driving continuous improvement and compliance excellence.

What does this position pay?

  • Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.
  • The expected range for this role is $125,000-$165,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
