Sr. Quality Engineer – Mission Assurance

Senior Mission Assurance Engineer
This is a high-impact opportunity for a Senior Mission Assurance Engineer to lead quality and mission assurance efforts for space systems. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability, safety, and compliance of satellite and space-related missions from concept through operations.

What you’ll do

• Lead mission assurance planning and execution across the full lifecycle of space missions.
• Develop and implement mission assurance policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and failure analyses to ensure mission success.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to evaluate and improve processes.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field with10–12+ years of experience in quality or mission assurance, preferably in the space or satellite industry.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 standards and experience with hardware/software quality management.
• U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

• Familiarity with satellite integration, space-grade components, and supplier development.

What does this position pay?

• Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $135,000 to $175,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
